Routine Sizes, Age Groups and Skill Levels

Routine Sizes

Type of Routines: Solos, Duos, Trios, Small Group (4-9 performers), Large Group (10-15 performers), Showcase (16 performers), Production (20 or more performers- may include performers of all levels). Productions MUST portray a theme or storyline. Props and sets are encouraged for Production performances.

Age Groups

Age Groups: Petite (Age 3-6), Mini (Age 7-9), Junior (Age 10-12), Teen (Age 13-14), Senior(Age 15-18), Adult (Age 19+). The age division for all routines is determined by the average age of the performers as of February 28th each year. Any dancer taking the stage before/during/at the end of a routine must be a registered dancer to the routine, regardless of the amount of time the dancer is present on stage.

*Contestants may be required to present proof of age in the form of a birth certificate if an issue regarding age occurs. 

**When substituting dancers in a performance, be aware that any modifications could possibly change the level or age average.

Skill Level

Skill Levels: Recreational, Novice, Competitive, Elite, Premier. Our skill levels are designed to give dancers an opportunity to compete against other dancers that are at their same level. This allows dancers to build confidence and self-esteem.
