Gev Manoukian was born and raised in Kazakhstan. In his senior year of school, Gev formed the first break-dancing group in his hometown, inspired by watching videos and learning by trial and error. In 2003 Gev moved to Salt Lake City, UT and joined a break-dancing/hip-hop group. “Extreme Dance Studio.” In 2004 Gev was chosen as a featured dancer in High School Musical 2. Two years later, he was cast as a principal dancer in movie, “The American Mall”. In 2008 Gev auditioned for the Fox television show, So You Think You Can Dance and danced his way into the top ten. Gev recently performed with Whitney Houston and has appeared as a dancer on a variety of Nickelodeon TV shows.
