Kathryn McCormick
Since the age of 3, Kathryn McCormick has always thrown herself into her dancing, pushing her self mentally and physically to redefine what is possible. This incredible 22 year old from Augusta, Georgia moved to Los Angeles at the age of 18 and landed her first role as a dancer in the 2009 remake of Fame. Then won the hearts of America when she danced her way to the top female dancer on season 6 of Fox’s hit TV dance show, So You Think You Can Dance. Kathryn’s passion and honesty on and off the stage made her a must have Allstar to return for season 7,8, and 9 of SYTYCD. Between seasons on the show, Kathryn continued in the industry performing in the 82nd annual Academy Awards, the official “Jar of Hearts” music video by Christina Perri, Dove Commercial, and performed for many choreographers such as Stacey Tookey, Tessandra Chavez, Justin Giles, Travis Wall, Teddy Forance, and Alex Little. The beginning of 2011, Kathryn invested her time as a motivational speaker with “The Revolve Tour”, a conference devoted to encourage teenage girls to chase their deepest desires and most importantly know they are loved unconditionally. The following year was huge for Kathryn: she landed her very first starring role in a full-length feature film, Step Up: Revolution, released in the U.S. on July 27th, 2012. She continued in to collaborate with singer/songwriter/musician Vienne and joined with the ILO on the music video “She Breaks”, created to bring awareness to Human Trafficking and inspire other artist to use their gifts to make a difference. Kathryn is currently pursuing acting while dance plays a constant in her life. Keep and eye out for her, she has a lot to share and is just getting started.
