How is the age division determined for group dances?

The age group of a group dance is determined by the average age of all dancers in the routine.  To reach the average age, add the ages of all the dancers together, then divide by the number of dancers in the routine. If you have a wide range of ages in a routine, our system will only allow the routine to go down one age group from the highest age division participating in the routine.

When substituting dancers in a performance, be aware that any modifications could possibly change the age average.

The age division for all routines is determined by the average age of the performers as of the first group competition date of the season.

Relevé Director reserves the right to change/combine age divisions according to number of entries.
